Looking for a unique holiday experience?

If you’re looking for something truly different, something out of the ordinary, an out-of-this-world experience with the chance to create some amazing memories, then the Ayia Napa underwater sculpture park is for you.

While some underwater attractions require you to hold a scuba diving certificate, The Ayia Napa park is also open to snorkellers, so anyone can visit, you don’t have to be an experienced scuba diver.

The perfect environmentally friendly tourist attraction

This magical museum is the brainchild of artist Jason deCaires Taylor. He has combined his love of photography with his amazing talent as a sculptor and his passion for the environment, with The Museum of Underwater Sculptures being the spectacular result.

When you gaze into the depths below the surface, you’ll discover 93 works of art. The pieces have been specially created from marine stainless steel and pH neutral concrete with a textured surface, designed to attract marine life, serving as a man-made reef. The sculptures attract micro-organisms, corals and sponges, which in turn bring more aquatic life to the park. A visit to the park not only gives you the chance to view the stunning sculptures of trees, figures and other delights, but also to discover a plethora of sea life. It’s certainly a fascinating place to snorkel or dive.

The park extends from the shore, where you enter the underwater forest. You’ll follow a route to the museum exit that extends for 170 meters giving you an hour-long experience in this ephemeral wonderland.

To visit the park, just head along to a participating dive school and book your session. They’ll also be able to provide you with any equipment you need.
